About the portal-

• It was launched in March 2018 to provide information regarding financial schemes, policies and programmes of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to existing/prospective women entrepreneurs in the MSME sector. 
• It was developed by the Institute for Design of Electrical Measuring Instruments (IDEMI), an organisation under the Ministry of MSME.
• It is a network for nurturing social entrepreneurship creating business models revolving around low-cost products and services to resolve social inequities.
• It seeks to encourage women entrepreneurs and to aid, counsel, assist and protect their interests. 
• It also helps women to start, build and grow their businesses. 
• It preserves free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation.
• It provides assistance primarily through its Programmatic Functions:
  • Entrepreneurship Learning Tools e.g. Preparing Business Plan.
  • Incubation facility.
  • Training programmes for fundraising.
  • Providing MENTOR.
  • One to one Investor Meet.
  • Provide Market Survey Facility.
  • Learning and Development (Education, Information, Technical Assistance & Training).
• It recognises that women entrepreneurs in the industry are critical to economic recovery and strength, in building the nation’s future, and to helping India compete in today’s global marketplace.
