In news– To improve the ease of living for the common man, the government is planning to launch ‘Jan Samarth’, a common portal for delivery of various schemes run by different ministries and departments.
About the portal-
- With the vision of ‘minimum government maximum governance’, the portal initially onboards different credit linked government schemes in a single platform, for ease of access to all the beneficiaries and related stakeholders.
- The portal will have open architecture enabling state governments and other institutions to also onboard their schemes on this platform in the future.
- It’s a first of its kind platform which directly connects beneficiaries from lenders.
- The main purpose is to encourage inclusive growth and development of various sectors by guiding and providing them with the right type of government benefits through simple and easy digital processes.
- The portal ensures end to end coverage of all the linked schemes.
