Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Index India
- NITI Aayog, India’ premier think tank, launched Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) India Index and Dashboard 2019-2020 in Delhi. The Index tracks the progress and ranking of all Indian States and Union Territories on 16 SDGs with qualitative assessment on SDG 17.
- This is the second edition of SDGs India Index with the first edition Index being launched in 2018
- The NITI Aayog recently released the Baseline Report of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) India Index, which comprehensively documents the progress made by India’s States and Union Territories towards implementing the 2030 SDG targets.
- The SDG India Index was developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Global Green Growth Institute and United Nations in India.
UN’s Sustainable Development Goal
The Sustainable Development Goals initiated by the UN in 2015 and ratified by 195 nations have 17 Goals, 169 Targets and 306 National Indicators.

- Aspirant: 0-49
- Performer: 50-64
