Background
Directorate of Marketing & Inspection (DMI) in the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare is implementing the provisions of Agricultural Produce (Grading & Marking) Act, 1937. The Act empowers the Central Government to make Rules for (a) fixing grade designation to indicate the quality of any scheduled article. (b) Defining the quality indicated by every grade designation and (c) specifying grade designation marks to represent particular grade designations. Standards notified as per the provisions of the Act are popularly called AGMARK Standards. These standards differentiate between quality and 2-3 grades are prescribed for each commodity
About Agmark Quality Control Management System (AQCMS)
Agmark online or Agmark Quality Control Management System (AQCMS) is an online software for Grant of Certificate of Authorisation (C.A), Approval of Private Commercial Laboratories, Permission to Printing Press and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for Directorate of Marketing & Inspection (DMI) internal use for check or challenged samples information recording, allocations, computations, and online results reporting.
Agmark online system covers following activities in phase I.
- Certification of Authorization (Domestic)
- Permission to Printing Press to print Agmark replica
- Approval of Private Commercial Laboratories (Domestic)
- Laboratory Information Management System (DMI Internal)
The applicants can apply online for a grant of a new Certificate of Authorisation (CA), Approval for Private Commercial Laboratories and Permission to Printing Press to print Agmark replica.
Agmark online software enables the filing of an online application, open 24×7, user-friendly, sends SMS/email alerts, fast and enhances transparency in the Agmark Certification process.
