In news– Recently, the Indian Army Contingent participated in Multinational Joint Exercise “Ex Khaan Quest 2022” hosted By Mongolia.
About the Exercise-
- Khaan Quest is an annual Mongolian military Multinational Peacekeeping exercise held for a week in the summertime.
- Since its establishment in 2003, it has been held in the Five Hills Training Area.
- It only became an international exercise in 2006, originally being a joint exercise between the Mongolian Armed Forces and the U.S. Pacific Command.
- It brings together over a dozen foreign militaries to engage in the sharing of practices for multinational peacekeeping operations’
- The 14 day exercise is aimed at enhancing interoperability, building military to military relationships, developing peace support operations and military readiness among participating nations.
- The Indian Army was represented by a contingent from the LADAKH SCOUTS.
- ‘Nomadic Elephant’ is the other Military Exercise which is conducted between India and Mongolia.
